Christmas in Singapore

I just got back from 3D2N Singapore trip with my Wengurls bffs and few new friends. We stayed at the Goodwood Park Hotel, a luxury heritage hotel that is very close to all the amenities offered by and on busy Scotts Road.

My legs were really tired - we walked A LOT, especially on the 1st day. Anyhow, despite my limited cash (S$200 only), I had a wonderful shopping experience at some of the popular shopping belts in Singapore, namely Orchard Road and Scotts Road. I don't regret spending any of the money. We also went to Bugis Street, Merlion Park and Clarke Quay.

Nighttime, the streets in Singapore are lighted up and beautifully decorated that holds on to the festive spirit of Singapore Christmas. On the 1st night, we had late evening coffee at a cafe with good atmosphere. The opposite building got a huge LCD screen outside, showing movie trailers, ads, info and stuff, just like a small part of Times Square and Tokyo. Rasa mcm tgk wayang sambil lepak minum.

Byk lagi boleh cerita tapi kemalasan melanda... Well, Singapore is packed with people rushing around preoccupied with their own things (at the MRTs, shopping malls, food courts etc.). And I wanna go there again to do my thing - SHOPPING, definitely!

November Nyam Nyam

I eat a lot this month. I became a food snob. These days, I head out for lunch or dinner almost everyday. That's an income sucker right there. I realized everytime I go out I always over eat and I always spend more than I want. Bad for me but I'm a sucker for good food.

Among the eating places that I've been to this November are:
  • Bayleaf Steak House > Hands down, one of the best steak I've ever had!

  • Oldtown Kopitiam > Way too often! Still can't get enough

  • Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa TTDI Jaya > Must try the 'Pisang goreng Bali', scrumptious! Sedappp yg amat

  • Tony Roma's Sunway Pyramid > Nothing particularly bad about this place, it's just OK...

  • Dorsett Regency Subang > The buffet breakfast is substantial

  • ...Secret Recipe, Starbucks, Kemaman Kopitiam, Restoran Timur, MS Garden
Yesterday, Ken and I went to Tjantek Art Bistro for dinner. As we entered Tjantek, immediately we felt a very relaxed vibe with some Jazz playing and a lot of art on the walls and books in cases in cabinets on either side. The lighting had been set to make for a pleasant evening of food and chat. If food is a symbol of love, eating can easily set stage for romance, and Tjantek is definitely one of the places that facilitate mingling - it's definitely perfect for a first date!

Camwhoring while waiting for our food, here are some pics:

I'm so darn hungry right now!

O-M-G I'm 25!

It's my birthday today.
Shrieking monster in my head: O-M-G I'm 25!

Most people tell me I look younger than what I am but the age thing will eventually catch up to me sooner or later. I'm still a petite little missy with such big stubborn head. I'm still easily moved to tears. I cry at the tv/movies a lot and then laugh at myself. I do still buy CLEO magazine. Every month since 1998. And I've secretly been wanting to subscribe to Glamour (UK edition) magazine since uni days. After 10 years, I'm still deeply in love with Jason Michael Wade. He is the lead vocalist, songwriter and guitarist with the band Lifehouse. Everytime I hear his voice it makes me melt...

I want to never regret anything. I may have done some ridiculously idiotic things in the past, but I live and learn. I have had my heart broken so hard it changed my personality, those few bad experiences are a bloody trauma! But I ain't no quitter, I love to love and to be loved. Keeping diaries and house cleaning are among the things I do best in life. I have a habit of eating my desserts first because it's the best part of the meal. I am so incredibly not a morning person, but I think that's mainly because I never get enough sleep or maybe I'm naturally a nocturnal. The morning hours are surreal to me - Why am I up? Why would anyone be up?

I might say completely different things next year, who knows huh.. All things take place by change. There are always things to do. Been working in the IT field for 3 years now, I don't think my parents really know what I do. I have this growing obsession for chocolate-based drinks. Urghh gaining weight is easy from now on, staying in shape is going to be hard - I should really start an exercise program. Who else wants a flat stomach, firm thighs, and a tite butt? Come on ladies put your hands up. Talking about ladies, I heart my Wengurls *xoxo. The girls are super awesome. And I adore my guy, I hope he's the one that never ends...oh love.

I pray for my family, my friends, my peers, my acquaintances, I pray that God bring them all things beneficial to their salvation. God, I pray for myself, I pray You lead me, deliver me, rescue me, forgive me. Earth is a big world, life is beautiful - well, a beautiful mess sometimes, and I haven't had enough! *Powerful punch up in the air now

Here's to 25 years of life...Happy birthday Diyana Di

P/S - Lifehouse will release their 5th Album "Smoke and Mirrors" on Dec 8. Their first single, "Halfway Gone" will be released on Oct 27.

That Gut Feeling

Hey, I'm here. This could only mean I am me, once more.
But no regular updates. I'm enjoying this blank slate for now. We'll see how it goes.

Surround yourself with positive, nourishing people. Good people. Seriously, avoid losers, jerks, bitches, fuckers, morons, assholes & bastards. Even the innocent desperates. Bad ones.

Think happiness and always re-think your happiness.
Count your blessings.
Be nice.
