Hey! It's been waaayyyyy too long. How are you?

Here I am on my bed, with my handsome toddler -- sleeping --, then I wonder how did I reach to this point in my life? I'm just glad to (still) be here, sometimes I revisit my past like tonight, to remind me the lessons I acquired in the school of life.

I just came back from Sydney. In a tour up to the Blue Mountains, there was a mum (50s) + son (20s) couple who are on 3 weeks holiday together (I had a chitchat with them, they are from Frankfurt, lovely people). My husband whispered to me "That will be you and Affan in the future", simply because I am doing so already and will keep doing it, go Mummy-me! Australia is Affan's 5th foreign country, not bad for a 2 year-ol' eh. Can't wait for our next adventure together!

Whoahh it's hard to believe that 2013 is already half over! Hello July. Hmm so what to tell? What do you want to know? Why am I asking in riddles?

Let's just spit it out.



Just celebrated 1st wedding anniversary last month. We took a second honeymoon at Berjaya Langkawi Resort, de-stressing in such beautiful place with nothing much to do but spend time with one another :) like like like! We look forward for more and more honeymoon getaway.



After a year into the marriage:

• like many women, I put on weight (4-5 kgs) in my first year as wife haha. I'm now around 42-43 kg. Hope I don't look so chubby/fat!
• finally decided that I'm ready for baby (...I think). Hubby is very happy with this as he wants baby since beginning. I'm sorry B you had to wait this long..
• Few weeks ago, I had a very early miscarriage, in the 5th week pregnancy. The pain is more intense than in normal menstruations and it was confirmed by the decrement of hCG levels in my blood.

But I don't know what is this feeling I feel? I didn't cry at all, but I'm not happy also. Is this... a sad relief? I actually feel OK but when people kinda expect me to feel sad, well that's when I feel I'm weird for feeling OK. Err. Get what I mean? Huhu. Doc said it's best to try again after 3 menstrual cycles. Well, let's hope for better luck 2nd time.

I'm back at home... and I love Europe!! Another Euro trip someday? Absolutely darrrllllss!

 

 

 

 

2012 is going to end soon, it has been such fun + exciting year. What's next in 2013? Well, I think I'll be more focus and more on the serious side..? Jeng jeng jengggg. Let's strive toward goals!

And the latest big thing is that I resign from my job, so bye bye Kuantan, hello Kuala Lumpur (very soon).

Oh, what a year!

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is simply dazzling. In 5D4N, we (7 strong-willed ladies) covered most of the city's must-see sights such as Stanley Market, Victoria Peak, Madame Tussaud's Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland, Sky100, Avenue of Stars, Symphony of Lights show, Tsim Sha Tsui etc. Plus, day trip to Macau - City of Dreams.

Shopping in Hong Kong is a dream every ardent shopper looks to fulfil. One thing to feel about Hong Kong is to feel the rush as you indulge in shopping! I bought my first A|X, Lacoste, French Connection, H&M and Longchamp here, yeayyy! The expensives are still way cheaper than back home.

Credit card was my ultimate enabler for all the Hong Kong shopping. Ye, saye terjebak. The results are (expensive) blessings in disguise! Haha me likey!

Take Me Away

Less than a month into our relationship, he took me to a place I'd never been + seen, a perfect island getaway, Pulau Perhentian. I said 'Yes' without hesitation, as affections are steady and the desire to spend bigger chunks of time is clearly mutual between us. It's a group holiday btw.

I managed braving the ocean to snorkel for the first time. It was scary at first but he patiently guided me to discover the wonderful treasures hidden under the ocean. He helped me overcome my fear of water. I've always had a terrible fear of being submerged completely in water (Can't swim!). Snorkeling is an amazing experience. I loved it! Oh and it’s easy to sunburn unnoticed, since the water can keep you feeling cool, even when you’re burning up. I got a tan, and he got a sunburn! Hehe

He has given me a new lease on life - this time last year I would never have had had the courage to do half the things I can do now. He is more than I could have ever dreamed of. I can feel his Halo and I pray it won't fade away...

Within this 2 weeks he'll be taking me to 3 new places. I'm a bit nervous but yet excited. If we are destined for a life of travel and fun together, I've got nothin' left to say, just take me away.

Mega Date

Conversations initiated after about a year of no contact led to the first date. It started off with a surprise belated birthday celebration with his best buddies. We really surprised him because he can't figure how did we pull it off when it was supposed to be my first time meeting all of them. Hehe terer x kami berkomplot, tau xpe. Then karaoke session for 2 hours followed by an enjoyable late dinner in a treehouse gazebo. We made a quick stop at my house, packed my things and went back to the resort. Balcony-talk with the rest till 3++ am zzZz

While some were asleep and some went out for breakfast, we both spent our morning watching a movie (our first movie!) together, altho it's just on an iPad. I had some laughs with him without any make-up on. I hope he still think I'm pretty just like in Katy Perry Teenage Dream song..

Checked out, had lunch, drove to Cherating, checked in. Hit the pool and beach in the evening and had lot lot lot of fun there. He's a good strong 5' 10" swimmer. I can't swim at all, so mcm berendam setempat je. We shared little sweet moments too ;) We started calling each other "syg" ever since *anime nosebleed* Haha ok2 x elaborate byk kang geli pulak, I'm too old for this sh...stuff! After dinner that night, we parted.

January Door to 2010

How is your January going so far? So far so good for me, only a little boring today, that's why I hop on quickly here to update few things.

Early this month, Diha + Fiena + me went for a trip to Miri and Brunei. Zura is working in Miri, so she's the one that provided us gracious hospitality. Zura, thank you for welcoming us into your big room. Miri was fun, mmg A+, x sangka akan party2 bagai nak rak kat sana hehe. Food also nice especially nasi lalapan @ Restoran Muara. On the other hand, I found Brunei boring, seriously rasa mcm xnak pegi lagi haha. Ape2 pon, it's nice to think that I've actually been to the place and seen it for myself and no doubt, it was wonderful spending time together with the girls. Moh la kte travel2 lg kwn2, travel broadens the mind, doesn't it?

I'm moving into new house. The movers are scheduled for next week. Just started packing my 2nd box. I was quite amazed at how much stuff I have now. Hate to throw anything away because who knows if I need this or that again. 2010 marked my 4th year in Kuantan and this new house is going to be my 4th Kuantan house. House moving seems like something I make a habit of each year huh? Summing-up, all of the houses are in totally different area, different neighbourhood, therefore different feel. However, rent is getting higher and it's getting far from office (but getting closer to town jeng3) ish ish ish ape nak jadi ni? jadi silent rebel kot~

On another note, I crave for new hairstyle and I'm getting it soon (appointment @2pm)! I love my long hair, but as time went on, I got really tired of it. I'm interested in getting a shorter haircut but not too drastic. I’ll grow it back again, so no worries.

Christmas in Singapore

I just got back from 3D2N Singapore trip with my Wengurls bffs and few new friends. We stayed at the Goodwood Park Hotel, a luxury heritage hotel that is very close to all the amenities offered by and on busy Scotts Road.

My legs were really tired - we walked A LOT, especially on the 1st day. Anyhow, despite my limited cash (S$200 only), I had a wonderful shopping experience at some of the popular shopping belts in Singapore, namely Orchard Road and Scotts Road. I don't regret spending any of the money. We also went to Bugis Street, Merlion Park and Clarke Quay.

Nighttime, the streets in Singapore are lighted up and beautifully decorated that holds on to the festive spirit of Singapore Christmas. On the 1st night, we had late evening coffee at a cafe with good atmosphere. The opposite building got a huge LCD screen outside, showing movie trailers, ads, info and stuff, just like a small part of Times Square and Tokyo. Rasa mcm tgk wayang sambil lepak minum.

Byk lagi boleh cerita tapi kemalasan melanda... Well, Singapore is packed with people rushing around preoccupied with their own things (at the MRTs, shopping malls, food courts etc.). And I wanna go there again to do my thing - SHOPPING, definitely!
